Application Process Requirements/Expectations:
  • Apply within two weeks of MainNet launch. You should only apply for FA designation when your application is within two weeks of launching on MainNet. If that is not the case, the Committee will request you reapply when within that time frame.
  • Provide complete responses. You must provide a sufficiently detailed response to each of the above questions prior to the Committee reviewing your application. Any application with an incomplete response will be returned to the Applying Institution. The Committee will connect with the Responsible Persons to coordinate your representatives joining a Committee meeting to present your application. You will have 5 minutes to present your application after which Q&A with the Committee may follow.
  • Vote timing is not guaranteed. There is no guarantee that the FA vote will take place during the Committee meeting your representatives join. A vote may occur if the Committee agrees they have sufficient information to do so. Otherwise the vote may take place outside the meeting with its results being reported to your Responsible Persons in a timely manner.
  • On-chain governance follows approval. In the event your application is designated a Featured Application, governance actions will take place on-chain to affect that change. In most cases this will happen within 2 weeks of the approval vote completing.
  • Activity weighting provided within 2 weeks. If you are approved for a Featured App designation and are using activity markers, the Committee will indicate your initial FA activity weighting within 2 weeks of approval.
If approved for Featured App designation, you agree to the following:
  • One-month activity report. Within one month of your application’s one month anniversary of being live on MainNet, it is your responsibility to coordinate participating in a Tokenomics call to present the results of your application’s first month activities. This report should include:
    • Statistics of all Canton-based transaction activity on a per use-case basis. This should include:
      • Number of transactions per day
      • Maximum transactions per round
      • If the use case is captured via activity markers or Canton Coin transactions
      • Number of customers leveraging the use case at start of the time range and end of the time range
  • Quarterly reporting. Every three months after your application’s one month anniversary of being live on MainNet, it is your responsibility to repeat the above instead using quarterly stats.
  • Cure period for non-compliance. In the event you fail to complete the reporting requirements to the satisfaction of the Committee, you will have a cure period of two weeks after which the Committee will revoke your featured application status.
  • Scope compliance required. In the event the Committee identifies activity that is outside the scope of your Featured Application approval they will request a change within a reasonably defined timeframe. In the event you fail to make the requisite changes, your Featured Application status will be revoked.
  • Committee may revoke status at any time. At any time your Featured Application status may be revoked by the Committee. The Committee will strive to coordinate any such action with your Responsible Persons, but reserves the right to act without coordination if deemed necessary.
  • Reward weight adjustments. At any time your reward weight may be increased or decreased by the Committee. The Committee will strive to coordinate any such action with your Responsible Persons, but reserves the right to act without coordination if deemed necessary.
